Generating delivery areas with AI

Use the AI-powered tool to generate delivery areas in seconds, no manual drawing required.

Please note that this feature is currently in beta and might not always give the expected results. Feel free to give us feedback so we can improve it.

• On the Manage delivery areas page, click the generate button next to the Add new delivery area button.

• In the prompt field, describe the area you're looking for (e.g., “Show me Berlin”).

• Review the results. You’ll see a polygon drawn on the map, and in the chat, you will get information about the size (km²) and the number of hexagons covering the area.

• To return to a previous result, click the [Show on map] link in the response history.

• Once you’re happy with the results, click Next and name the area.

• In the final step, select which distance types will be available for analysis in this delivery area and set their ranges.

• Click Save.

Search is geographically limited to countries where your company operates.

For most countries, the smallest selectable area is a city. Districts and neighborhoods are not yet reliably supported, and you typically cannot generate them. We are actively teaching the model to be more precise over time.

The delivery area will appear in the list on the Manage delivery areas page. You’ll be able to use the delivery area for spatial analysis across corresponding platform pages.

To allow other users to view the recently added delivery area, you must first enable it in the Zones section on the Manage Users page.

How it works

This feature uses Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet model, OpenStreetMap, and public databases to draw accurate delivery areas.
